I used them to add some weight to my light stand and they definitely do the job. They do not come filled so I filled two sandwich bags with de-icing salt which easily added weight to them. Nothing more to it, they work well

I bought these to use as weights for the sewer hose while camping, or at dump stations. No more wondering or checking that the drain has moved. Cover it with a disposable plastic bag to maintain a sanitary set of weights.

I guess I expected it to be bigger and should have checked the dimensions, however they are fit for purpose and do the job .
