I got this tripod mount to use as a utility camera and light mount.The base tripod is quite nice and I quite like the way they set up the legs with a smooth folding hinge at the top and the posable legs having a stiffer joint, it lets you quickly pop it int tripod mode without much fuss. speaking of the posable legs tried using them with my 1.2kg mirrorless camera and they worked to hold it up (though It did have a bit of trouble slipping/unwrapping on larger diameter smooth surfaces). As for its performance on a flat surface it did wonderfully, between the solid hold from ball mount and the adjustable legs you have a lot of flexibility to get the angles you need.Moving onto the side arms they did well with lighter loads easily handling accessories like microphones and small lights, one thing to note is the cold shoe mount rotate and if you have for example a microphone cord pulling on your accessory it can pull it out of alignment. The smartphone holder was easily able to accept a Samsung s23 Ultra without issue and hold it securely, also the angle lock on the holder was one of the better ones I have encountered on phone holders and as an added bonus it has a built-in cold shoe mount on the phone holder (assuming your phone fits with the holder flipped 180 it worked with mine but I would not go much bigger).Overall this is a nice and verry handy tripod and handles a lot of situations well. However, I would recommend caution when using this as a flex tripod when grabbing onto things to double check it is secure when using heavier cameras.
