This is an incredibly well engineered tripod extender to hold two cameras easily, or a camera and a light.It's super solid bar, weighs a few pounds, and is a cylinder-shape that has three flattened surfaces, to not allow slipping, were it just a completely round bar.The 3/8" mounting bolts easily fit into my tripod heads. As a bonus, there is a ring or dial under each one, to rotate the 3/8" bolts, and make it a snap to mount a tripod head or light onto the bolts.Just balance the weight, lock it down, and your equipment is safe-be sure your tripod legs can handle about 30 pounds of equipment, or whatever load you use. While I'll rarely need it; when I will need it, it'll easily replace having two separate tripods taking up a lot of square footage, when space is tight. that's worth a lot to me!I didn't expect this to be as well constructed as it is. This is not the first superb item I've gotten from Neewer, nor will it be the last.

Very impressed with this. Wanted a horizontal column so I could mount a couple of DSLR cameras to film flowers. This is perfect. Very strong and sturdy, comes with a couple of ball and sockets heads that slide nicely along the column, but when everything is tightened up it is very solid. Another excellent product from Neewer. Highly recommended.

Works well for taking top down photos in a light box for product photos> I don't like that it is primarily 3/8-16 threaded on all internal and external threads and the 1/4-20 adapters have very little surface area to stabilize what is mounted, the reverse would have worked better also a counter weight hook on the back end would have been nice especially with a heavy lens on the camera end. Over all it is it is a great value and very well constructed. Only the minor issues listed hve kept me from giving it 5 stars across the board.

This is a great asset for tether shooting. It provides a convenient and stable platform for my camera and my iPad giving me a larger view of images while shooting. Neewer brand quality on function and construction are evident throughout. Highly recommended.
