This is my second piece of Neewer glass for my matte box. I'm very impressed. It comes in a really nice case with a top label. As my picture shows, it is so clear that it is hard to see it in the matte box. It has a thick sturdy feel. It is a great layer of added protection.

This square UV filter is business as usual from NEEWER. They produce an endless array of content creation equipment and accessories with a recurring theme: quality construction, impressive functionality and reasonable price point. Their camera filters offer a particularly impressive 'bang for the buck', weighing in at a fraction of what most quality filters cost. This square UV filter requires a matte box to use but assuming you've got that covered it'll minimize UV rays in your photos/videos which will result in better contrast and more vivid colors. Highly recommended!

Excellent quality UV filter and I have come to expect nothing less from Neewer.This is a beautiful piece of glass thick and solid and if treated well will last a long time. I have a small rig matte box and can confirm the UV filter fits perfectly but check the size of your matte box before buying to confirm.In my personal opinion you won’t see a huge difference to your images using a UV filter but it does make a small difference that probably only you will notice as you was there taking the picture in the first place. It does slightly reduce ultraviolet rays/haze as in the description.Overall I am happy with the UV filter and will be using it when ever I am taking water pictures.

Having just purchased a SmallRig Matte Box Pro, I was in need of filters to use with it. I saw that Neewer had released a 4" x 5.65" UV cinema filter for use with this matte box. So, I ordered it.Obviously, the listing gives the dimensions of the filter, but I was really quite surprised to see what a hefty piece of glass this actually was. The filter weighs 5.125 oz. or 146 grams.The filter comes in its own very substantial case that has a magnetic clasp closing. Additionally, a cleaning cloth is supplied which is something that will be needed.The filter itself, along with the dimensions given above, is actually 4mm or 0.16" thick. I literally have dozens of circular filters for use with my still cameras and nothing even comes close to being as substantial as this piece of glass.The filter slots into the matte box pro filter holder without any problem at all. It fits well and does the job I need it to do perfectly. The filter is obviously protective as well as being UV filtering and in use I could not detect any color change which is absolutely the way it should be.If you are thinking of getting into videography with a matte box attachment for your camera, then I highly recommend this filter from Neewer.
