This is one of the few add-on lenses I've used that really makes a noticeable difference in image quality. The colors are better, there's more fine detail and contrast seems slightly improved. It's a quality lens that's more similar to aftermarket lenses for DSLRs than it is to most of the other phone lenses on the market. As a bonus, it also came with the clip necessary for mounting it to my phone and a really nice carrying and storage case too. It's become a permanent fixture in my phone photography bag and is, overall, a quality piece of glass.

Picked this up for my mobile kit. It is important to note that you will need a cage, or clamp or some kind of backplate to mount this lens onto, as it is not a simple plug & play into your phone. If you do have the appropriate hardware, it is a simple installation. It's a nice and convenient addition to the tool kit. Depending on what you are working with, it can be a nice way to enhance your image/video capabilities to capture the look you are seeking. It seems reasonably well made, and thus far I don't have any issues with it. It's not likely on it's own to take your images from "meh" to cinematic quality, so it's best to have an understanding in order to manage expectations and get the most bang for buck. Overall, a decent solution. It may be limited by available cages etc available for your specific mobile device, so it may be worthwhile to ensure you can get a compatible cage or whatever you need for your mobile device first.Likes:- Seems to be of decent build quality.- A very convenient add-on if you have the appropriate mounting hardware compatibility.- Depending on what you're working with, can be a nice upgrade to your image / video capturing capabilities.Dislikes:- You will need to have either a cage or clamp with an adapter in order to use the lens. You can't just connect it directly to your phone.

The optics in this are the best I have ever encountered in an add-on lens. It has a very large primary lens for exceptional light gathering ability even in low light. It includes an effective anti-glare coating and comes with a very nice dust cap and carry case. Unfortunately the lens is very large and I have not been able to find an effective way to mount it. The clip on mounts are just not up to the task.

I bought this lens hoping to elevate my portrait shots a bit beyond what my Samsung S24 Ultra can do. I’d heard that an 85mm lens could give better background blur and sharper detail, so I decided to give it a shot.The Neewer 85mm telephoto lens is easy to attach, especially with a compatible phone cage and the 17mm thread. Note the lens doesn't come with tools to attach it to your phone, you need to invest in a cage or a compatible back plate. Note that for Android devices it seems that these are hard to come by with very few choices. I ended up getting the Neewer universal phone clamp with a 17mm thread. The lens is compact and feels solid, and the 2.5x magnification seemed promising for portrait work. However, after some testing, I noticed the difference wasn’t as big as I’d expected. My phone’s built-in camera still holds up quite well on its own, and I didn’t get the dramatic portrait effect I was hoping for with this lens. I attached a few photo samples so that you can judge as well.Overall, it’s a decent lens if you’re looking for slight enhancements and enjoy experimenting with mobile photography, but if you’re expecting a huge leap in quality, you might be underwhelmed, especially if you have one of the new flagship phones with superior cameras.
