I've been really happy with this soft box from NEEWER. I've been using a smaller version of their parabolic soft boxes and wanted something bigger and this has been perfect for that! It's well made and very easy to set up - just push the ribs of the soft box into place, let them lock and insert the soft box over, super easy! Since this uses a bowens mount you won't have any issue finding lights that can work with this. This does a really great job diffusing the light and comes with 2 diffusion pieces as well as a grid to help you further adjust your lights. I actually find I prefer this to the parabolic soft boxes that they this requires fewer ribs for the soft box, making it lighter and easier to set up + take down. Overall a great option for the money.

This is a quality and versatile softbox umbrella kit that can be used with any photo light equipped with a Bowens mount. Opening the umbrella was fast and simple with each rib locking in place. The softbox has a black, non-reflective nylon exterior with a bright silver reflective interior. Included with the softbox are three different style diffusers and each can be installed separately or used in combination with the other diffusers.The smallest diffuser is a white panel that mounts on velcro tabs about a foot away from the light source. A second white panel can be mounted onto the velcro strip located on the outer edge of the umbrella. The last diffuser is a checkered lattice that does a great job dividing and redirecting the light and greatly minimizes shadows. With the ability to use the diffusers in combination, I have lots of latitude in how I want to illuminate my subject.The construction is top notch with fiberglass ribs that lock firmly into place using metal clips. Nylon and plastic materials used are sturdy with even clean sewn seams. This softbox is professional-build quality and is designed daily working use. Also included in the kit is a transport/storage bag. What impressed me most was the bright even lighting the umbrella and diffusers create especially noticeable when I used it outdoors in varied light conditions.Bottom Line: This is a quality umbrella/softbox kit that gives photographers a number of great options for diffusing light. I am using it with a Neewer light but it should work with any light system that uses a Bowen mount. Setup and tear-down is fast. Build quality is excellent.
