This was purchased to support some home-made solar filter films for a Nikon D5300 with a 18-300mm zoom lens with 67mm aperture for the 2024 solar eclipse. There is a wide range of diameter attachments in the kit, and matched my lens selections (not just the one zoom lens I planned to use that day). Being able to quickly remove the filter-holder portion at totality was very useful. The metal construction seems to make the assembly sturdy and unlikely to break under normal use. The filter-holder and the ranges of different diameter threaded lens adapters come in a sturdy compartmented pouch.The filter holder attaches to the threaded adapter that screws onto the lens front. It can be removed and re-installed at will in a matter of seconds, to quickly remove or add filters as needed, without having to unscrew the adapter from the lens. The holder is locked onto the adapter with a simple threaded thumbscrew on one side, and can be done one-handed, with essentially one motion with a thumb and a finger to twist the knob.There is only one caution. I usually use a circular polarizer (CPL) filter on all my lenses when shooting outdoors. However, it is awkward to use this item when attached to a filter that rotates. Depending on the threads, it can be attached and be difficult to remove quickly. My lens has a bulge just aft of the threaded filter adapter, so with the the filter adapter screwed on, I cannot easily get traction on the CPL between it and the lens to keep it from turning when trying to unscrew this device. My first attempt at using it gave me some concern when trying to remove the adapter from the CPL. I suggest any rotating threaded filters perhaps be removed before attaching this item.

This Square Metal Filter Holder arrives in a nice looking, sealed, Neewer branded, cardboard box, that would be more than suitable should you be wishing to give it as a gift. Inside the box is the filter holder, 8x adapter rings, carrying pouch and a cleaning cloth.Both the metal filter holder and the adapter rings are well made and have a good finish throughout. Made of aluminium alloy they are robust and durable, whilst remaining lightweight. The threads on the adapter rings are well defined and I had no issues when attaching or removing them.In use the filter holder worked well. The knurled locking knob was easy to turn and the locking system held the filters nice and securely. The ability to stack two different filters proved very useful.The pouch is reasonably well made and does a good job of protecting the holder when not in use. If you don’t take all the adapters with you, there is also room enough in there for a couple 100x100mm filters, however, it’s not quite large enough to take 100mm x 150mm filters.All-in-all this is a well made, handy, filter holder. It’s proved to be a simple and effective way of using 100x100mm and 100x150mm filters with my camera setup.~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest opinion about it. That’s what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~

Getting back into photography after a short lapse & now having more time on my hands I decided to get these Neweer Filter holders.I have used the screw on type that fits over the lense of your Camera & they were pretty good giving nice gradients e.t.c. So I am pleased to have the opportunity to try these holders for Decent Glass Filters, I'm also looking forward to being able to stack one filter in front of the other for varying effects....I'm not the type of person that likes to Photoshop all of my images . I prefer them natural & however they end up that is how I view them. I had to borrow a couple of Cokin filters from a friend as at present I don't have any ... but after fiddling around with this Neweer holder with a ND filter & a cool gradient filter I was very happy with the results.I only have to wait now until my Birthday in a couple of months & guess what I will be asking for ....Overall I'm happy, the filters were easy to slide into the holder & it attached securely to my EOS camera.Hope this helps ..

These filter holders are good quality and they feel durable. It is easy to screw them onto the camera lens and they fit securely.

This can be used for any square filter 100mm wide and 2mm thick and comes with 8 adapter rings so it’s versatility it’s amazing.Excellent quality build,sturdy and well balanced.Compared to other prices on the market it is very competitive and a great choice.
