Solid protector. Love using it while skiing. The only down side is you cannot fit a cover over it, so I had to make one for when it goes in my bag.

Not much to say about this item since it was got to be given as a gift for a keen YouTuber.I am told it fits the camera well and helps in adding protection for the Action Camera.

If you need an added protection for the Insta360 X3, this is a nice cage for that. You still have access to all the buttons and all the doors once it's installed and it gives you the standard 1/4"-20 attachment for tripods/selfie stick and such while giving you more attachment points for other accessories. The fitment and tolerance of the cage is pretty much on-point. The camera setup I got was the camera kit that included a selfie stick, a lens protector, a bag, a memory card and the camera. With the cage installed, I can no longer use the bag nor the lens protector. Other than that, it provides an additional layer of protection for you Insta360 X3 camera which is nice.

The NEEWER Insta360 X3 Metal Cage CA010 is a thin aluminum cage that also adds some mounting points. It fits the X3 camera quite fittingly to a tee, with a strip of cushioning protection at the bottom of the cage where the camera sits in. The closing screw is easy to use and seems to keep this closed well. It may have a slight protection against bumps and drops if it lands on the cage, but more so on the sides and edges only as the lens and also the front/back surface of the camera still protrudes over the cage and is vulnerable. The finger mounts are a nice addition without another adapter, and it even has a ¼” screw hole for dual compatibility with accessories and stands. The side cold shoe mount is nice as well, but made even better with the provided extra side mounting adapter (plus screw and hex key) into an additional finger mount. The sides are more flat, thus adding two more edges to lay the camera down on a surface (increases the total up to 3 out 6 total edges the camera can be safely out down temporarily vs just 1 in the base unit). The ports, batteries, and mics are all accessible and not blocked by the cage. Overall, this is a neat aluminum cage for the Insta360 X3 camera.
