Nice and compact little ball heads for mounting small camera items like LED light panels, iPhone holders, etc. You can never have enough of these little guys.

This is a really cool kit with four ball head mounts for a decent price. There's never a shortage for use with cameras, smartphones, monitors, lighting so having lots of these around is a good thing. Real metal aluminum, not plastic. Versatile applications. Each comes with a cold shoe mount which can be removed to allow use with a standard tripod screw mount. My biggest concern and complaint is that these are either firm when mounted and screwed down tight but totally loose when unscrewed. There is no in between tension! Get it where you want it, hold it steady and tighten it down. If you want to move it just a little, set everything down, use both hands, hold, loosen, adjust and tighten. You can not just loosen a little bit and slide it over. Unnerving the first couple times you do this but you can train yourself to get used to it. Disappointing its so sensitive but not a deal breaker when you need some low cost heads to set up your rig.

We’ve all used cheap ball heads before! Normally they’re very cheap plastic, and you try to tighten them but they don’t hold any sort of weight at all. So I wasn’t expecting much from these, although I was hopeful!How wrong I was! The build quality is really good, they’re mostly metal and feel a lot more premium and long lasting. They have some weight to them but in a good way, so you feel confident that they’ll actually last!They slot into the cold shoe mount of your camera or cage, and allow you to attach any 1/4 accessory to the top, such as monitors or even on-camera lights. I found it handles the weight of my 7 inch monitor just fine, and also worked great with things like my Aputure MC lights via their 1/4 thread.The ball head is adjustable by loosening the knob, and even at extreme angles it seems to hold position really well! It makes it a much smaller form factor neater alternative to a magic arm! I’d highly recommend these ball heads, and the four pack is great value!
